Heroes come and go, but legends are forever

Kobe made me aspire for more. His words + actions have helped me make some hard decisions.

“Follow your passion first…you gotta ask yourself: ‘Ok, what am I truly passionate about? What do I enjoy doing?’ And when you feel that way, honestly, I mean you feel like you’ve never worked a day in your life. It’s the most fun thing in the world. You get up in the morning and you’re excited about what you’re doing. And you gotta be really honest with yourself about it.” kobe

“It’s a matter of what’s important to you. What’s important to you? For whatever reason, you know, I felt like… I didn’t feel good about myself if I wasn’t doing everything I could to be the best version of myself. I felt like if I’ve left anything on the table it would eat away at me. I wouldn’t be able to look at myself in the mirror.” kobe

The 81 point game is superhuman and his last scoring performance was also so fitting. This comeback is insane and so is this one. There are so many moments in his career when it seems like he’s so determined to make something happen that he wills it into existence.

No, he wasn’t perfect and he missed shots. But what is beautiful is what did after he missed them.
